Job Title: School Bus Driver

Job Status: Full Time
Ensure the safe and orderly transportation of students on an assigned bus route; operate a school bus that transports students and other personnel to and from schools or other designated locations.
● Maintain safety precautions when students are boarding and departing the bus.
● Maintain appropriate student management and report student incidents to the appropriate supervisors.
● Follow the assigned routes and adhere to set schedules.
● Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections and submit work orders as necessary,
● Communicate with department personnel, school personnel, and parents about student behavior while on the bus.
● Keep the assigned bus clean and fueled.
● Properly operate all assigned communications equipment.
● Report all accidents, vehicle damage, and student injuries as they occur
● Complete and submit all required reports and documentation.

Job Specifications and Requirements
Minimum of a High School Diploma and a minimum of 1-year experience in the food service industry, preferably in a school setting. Must have or be able to obtain a food service worker license.

Position Summary
Maintains a program that meets the federal guidelines for child nutrition meal patterns as approved by the Texas Department of Agriculture
Major Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Keep current master lists of all applications and certified students
- Maintains standards of sanitation that conform with local and state codes and displays a certificate in the food service area
- Maintains an inventory of all food and supplies for the program
- Submits all required reports in a timely
- Participates in CNP audits
- Assists in the preparation and serving of meals in a quick and pleasant manner
- Serves students from the food service counter
- Assists in the daily clean-up of the café
- Assists in the storage and disposal of unused foods
- Performs related duties as required, including duties at special meal functions
