Career and Technical Education

 

Career exploration and understanding of the value of work begins at the elementary level. Students in elementary grades begin by learning about themselves, their interests, skills, and abilities. During the middle school years, students delve into their interests through skills inventories and career investigation. The development of student agency during elementary and middle school allows students to select the best-suited career pathway and program of study for high school.

 

CTE high school courses prepare students for high demand careers with hands-on learning and a depth of knowledge that builds real-world skills. Each course is part of a comprehensive program of study so that students graduate ready for a job, certification, or post-secondary education.
