Dear Knights,

In order to better prepare our teachers and equip them with the best tools possible for ensuring academic success during the 21-22 school year, Southwest Preparatory has made the decision to frontload our early release days for teacher professional development.

The following 4 dates will now be early release days in September and students will be released at 12:00 P.M:

Friday, September 3rd, 2021
Friday, September 10th, 2021
Friday, September 17th, 2021
Friday, September 24th, 2021

During this time our teachers, principals, and support staff will be attending the TEA-required HB3 reading academies to support the development of a rigorous early childhood literacy program.
TEA HB3 Reading Academies.

Please note these dates are not in addition to the normal early release dates throughout the school year, they are replacing them. We understand this may cause some inconvenience for you. However, we hope we will have your full support in strengthening our academic program and in turn strengthening the education your child is receiving.
Please contact your campus administrative team for assistance surrounding the early release schedule and please see the school calendar for all updates. SWP School Calendar.
