Our Strategic Plan 2023

 

At Southwest Preparatory School, we challenge our students to be self-motivated, self-reliant, and optimistic about their capacity to learn and grow. Our district embraces the same standard, striving for continuous improvement through reflection, innovation, and adaptability to ensure every student’s success.

 

To support this vision, we partnered with Impact Education Group, a national consulting firm, to develop a focused and forward-thinking strategic plan. Over the past two years, Scott Lewis and Dr. Caesar Mickens guided us in creating a roadmap that addresses the evolving needs of our students, families, and community.

 

With 25 years of growth and success, Southwest Preparatory School has transformed from a single-campus charter school in 1998 to a multi-campus district serving a diverse student body. Milestones include the establishment of our Early College High School program with Texas A&M University-San Antonio, the launch of our Media Education Design Academy (MEDA), and the expansion of our campuses in Northeast, Southeast, Northwest, and Seguin.

These achievements reflect our enduring commitment to progress and student success.

 

From our beginnings as a credit-recovery school to becoming a college preparatory model, we have continuously expanded our facilities, curriculum, and opportunities to inspire academic achievement, creativity, and community engagement.

 

The 2023 Strategic Plan builds on this legacy. Guided by our Strategic Planning Committee, we have identified four key goal areas that address the needs of students, educators, and the broader SWPREP community:

These goals are not just aspirations—they are commitments. Each is supported by actionable strategies and systems to ensure accountability, promote innovation, and create equitable learning opportunities for all students.

This plan reflects our continued commitment to growth, guided by the trust and support of our community.
