Alumni Spotlight: Marisol Guerra, Class of 2015

a picture of Marisol Guerra Marisol Guerra, a proud graduate of Southwest Preparatory School – Northeast Campus, has been making a difference in young students’ lives since earning her diploma in 2015. After graduation, she pursued higher education, earning her associate degree in early childhood education. For the past seven years, she has been dedicated to shaping young minds as an educator assistant at North East ISD.

Reflecting on her time at Southwest Prep, Marisol shares that the school provided a strong foundation for her career and personal growth. “SWPrep is always there when you need someone,” she says, emphasizing the supportive environment that helped her navigate challenges and find her path in education.

Her advice for current students? “Reach for the stars because with that, you can achieve anything in this world.” She encourages students to dream big and stay determined as they step into their futures.

Some of Marisol’s most cherished memories from Southwest Prep include working as a student aide with Mrs. Rose and the unwavering support she received from Mrs. Champion, who was always there to lend a listening ear.

Looking ahead, Marisol has her sights set on an exciting new chapter—earning her bachelor’s degree. With her passion for education and the strong foundation built at Southwest Prep, there’s no doubt she’ll continue to inspire and uplift the next generation of students.
