Hello! Hola! Bienvenue! 
English as a Second Language (ESL) is my passion because I love my first language, as well as being a language learner myself.
I began my teaching career as a bilingual teacher, helping early elementary students learn to read and write in both Spanish and English. After 10 years in the classroom, I shifted to providing leadership and intervention on campuses with large numbers of bilingual and ESL students PK - 5th. One year, I attended a conference in San Antonio and I said, “One day, I’m going to live here!” Finally, seven years ago I moved to San Antonio and joined the Southwest Preparatory family because I love the values and support of the students.
After 28 years teaching, I formally retired from teaching and now teach part-time because I love being with the students and teachers!
Besides my experience in teaching, I earned a Master’s Degree in Education from Lamar University in 2010.
