My name is Gabriela Santiago and I will be teaching 3rd and 5th grade this year! I look forward to working with your scholars this year!
About Me
Hello, my name is Ms. Santiago! This is my 7th year teaching and 1st year at Southwest Prep Northwest. I'm very excited to be a part of this wonderful campus.
I was born in New Orleans, LA but moved to San Antonio at a young age. (Go Saints and Spurs!) I have two teenage daughters who are so much fun! I also have my 2 (fur) boys, Nolan and Louie. They are the cutest Pugs ever! On the weekends, I love spending time working out, shopping, and spending time with family. I try to find time for TV shows and a good book too!
I am looking forward to this new school year and I can't wait to see everything we will accomplish. Go Royals!
Career Highlights
I started my education career at Northwest Vista and then transferred to Texas A&M San Antonio where I graduated with my degree and EC-6th grade certification In December 2014. I began teaching in Lytle, TX in August of 2015. I spent the next 4 years as a 5th grade teacher. I've taught 3rd and 4th. This year I am teaching all subjects for third grade and Science and STEAM for 5th grade
