About Me

My name is Beverlee Degollado, I am the SWP's PreK-12th grade Counselor. This is my seventeenth year as an educator and my twelfth year as a School Counselor, including five years as an ELA teacher. I am excited to get started on yet another great school year! I am here to help your child navigate through the wonderful and sometimes challenging school years. This is going to be a fun year filled with learning, growing, and lots of new adventures. I can't wait to get to know you, your family, and most importantly, your child!

First I wanted to take a moment to tell you a few things about me. I am originally from McAllen, Texas. I attended The University of the Incarnate Word and graduated with my Bachelor's degree in Psychological Organizational Development. I also graduated from Our Lady of the Lake University where I obtained my Master's including double specializations in Education and Psychology in Human Science.

I consider myself to be lucky to have the honor as Southwest Preparatory's PreK-12 Counselor. I am so excited to get the year started. My hope is that this school year will be full of fun and successful experiences for all students. So, to keep consistent contact with parents, we will be using E-mail, Phone calls, Google Classroom.
