Welcome Letter

Welcome students and parents,

My name is Ms. Sink and I am your third-grade teacher.  This is my seventh year teaching at Southwest Prep.  Before coming to Southwest Prep, I was a special education assistant for many years.  Teaching has always been my passion, and I love coming up with fun new ways to learn!

Third grade is a big year of growth! I make it my mission to create a warm, welcoming classroom where everyone feels important. My classroom contains a relaxation station for you go use anytime you feel overwhelmed and need just a few moments to get your emotions together. In our class we support each other and build each other up.

This school year we will learn a lot in ELAR, Math, Science, and Social Studies.  We also will learn a lot socially.  We will be preparing to take our first STAAR test, but preparing can be fun!  While learning things in all subjects we will be experimenting, using edible math, and playing learning games such as Academic Baseball, Sparkle, Around the World, and more!

If you ever have any questions, please send me an email.  I try to respond to all school day emails within 24 hours, and any emails after hours within 48 hours.  I also will be using Class Dojo to communicate.  Please subscribe to my page to receive any updates to it.
