Teacher Biography

   Hello, my name is Mrs. Huron! This is my 8th year with Southwest Preparatory and my 14th year teaching. I love teaching at Southwest Prep and enjoy working with the friendly staff plus the amazing kids. I feel truly blessed to be at a wonderful campus with dedicated teachers and honorable leaders, who support us tremendously. This makes our campus pleasant to work at where students strive and achieve success.
     A little bit about myself: I was born in Bellflower, California but moved to San Antonio at a young age. I attended U.T.S.A. and graduated with a bachelor’s degree in Interdisciplinary Studies. This year my husband and I celebrated our 17th year anniversary. We have a beautiful teenage daughter named Lyndsey, who will be 18 this year and is a Senior in High School. She is a straight "A" student involved in Student Council and Physicians Club. Further, I have 3 fur babies Storm, Pearl and Flower who are the most adorable pets ever. On the weekends and during the summer you will usually catch me hiking, traveling, and spending time with family.

I am excited about this new school year and I can't wait to meet all my students and their families. Go Royals!
