Continued Closure through April 24th

Dear SWP Family,

As we all work through the changing situation surrounding Covid-19, SWP understands the difficulties that our staff, students and families are facing.  These past two weeks have been a challenge for us all, and I appreciate your patience as we navigate these unusual times.  Social distancing and the restriction of movement is making life difficult for everyone, and we appreciate everyone working together to help slow the spread of the virus while continuing student learning.

As you are aware, yesterday, Mayor Ron Nirenberg and Judge Nelson Wolff expanded their emergency order for Bexar County and the City of San Antonio, to include a ‘stay at home’ order.   Area superintendents met today to review the latest information, and SWP is extending the current closure and suspension of on-site instruction until April 24, 2020.  This closure continues to apply to instructional classes, after school and extracurricular activities.  Please remember to look at your campus’ school calendar for regularly scheduled closures, such as Good Friday.

SWP is continuing to serve curbside meals, Monday through Friday, for families in need. Locations and times are listed below.

Our curriculum team, teachers and campus administrators will continue to work with students on distance learning. We remain dedicated to educating children, regardless of the circumstances. Our teachers have worked hard to adapt to this new way of teaching, and we know you all have had to adjust as well.

Our counselors are available and have posted resources for our families online at

We are in unfamiliar territory and recognize this is challenging for everyone involved. Please know, SWP is here for you.
