Tell Me About It

by Leticia Arredondo

September 02, 2008

Welcome to Multimedia and Video Technology! My name is Ms. Arredondo and I will be leading you down the path of all things digital.

Both Multimedia and Video Technology satisfy the technology credit needed to graduate. Taking either course will earn a student 1 full credit in a semester. My classes are self paced and must meet 4 days a week. Good attendance is mandatory because of how much work goes into each project. Both of my classes may take field trips based on the assignment we are working on. Video Technology students will have a chance to film 'on location' should the production require it.

Multimedia students will create several print projects. By this I mean projects such as movie posters, brochures, newsletters and magazine covers. Each student will also learn the basics of photography and how to create balanced designs.

Video Technology students will learn how to write a script, create a storyboard, and ultimately film a 10 minute movie. This class will learn how to 'shoot' a scene properly as well as how to be comfortable around a video camera.

Each class will provide students with the skills needed for design and/or video production. Please feel free to stop by to check out our student work!

A little about me:

I am a huge movie fan and an even bigger fan of special effects/graphics. I have studied video production, print design, and have my degree in 3D animation. I look forward to working with each student that walks through my door and can't wait to see what kind of talent lurks in these hallways.
