Training our SWPS Staff
Step 1 – Identifying the Need
SWPS is in the initial stages of developing a staff training program. The purpose of this effort is to do our best in giving our employees the tools they need to be successful in their jobs. This program encompasses many aspects such as initial, recurring, and professional development training programs. These requirements will be met through various presentation methodologies such as briefings, seminars, and video.
To develop an effective training program for the organization, it is necessary to identify functional area training requirements as defined by lead functional representatives and their staffs. This will be an initial, labor-intensive process that will repeat as the program evolves. The primary methodology for collecting critical information will be through an interview process. The Training Director will conduct interviews to determine the overall infrastructure needs of a particular functional area and “fill in the blanks” with details of how those needs will be met.
As we make progress we will update this web page with more information, so stay tuned!
