Ways to Eat Healthier

            *  Eat 5 fruits and vegetables a day

                (Fruit Juices count just make sure it is 100%)

            *  Eat your 5 food groups

                (Milk, Bread, Meat, Fruits, and Vegetables)

            *  Practice Portion Control.

                (A serving size can be measured by the size of your palm.)

            *  Choose Low fat

                (1% or2 % milk, mayonnaise, dressing, cheese, etc...)

            *  Bake, boil, and broil vs. FRIED

            *  Exercise at least 30 minutes a day.

                Take the stairs instead of the elevators, park further away.

            *  Read the Label.

To Calculate how much sugar or fat is in the product you are eating or drinking do the following:

Take the total grams of fat or sugar listed on the label and divide by 4.

EX: 40 g sugar divided by 4= 10 tsps. of sugar you just consumed.
